Triumph Model W 250cc Side Valve 1927. Local Reg. According to the contemporary Triumph literature this beauty develops a tyre shredding 2.77hp. Actually the 277 is the cc, a curious figure due to the fact that Triumph were trying to pack the most punch into the lightest machine. Sub 200lbs meant cheaper tax. With many of the features of it's bigger brothers, without the weight. Three speed hand change, adjustable tappets, adjustable oil pump and sight feed, internal expanding brakes front and rear, what more could you want? A nice example of a quality vintage lightweight.
